Julie Freeborn CPsychol FBPsS FRSA

Julie, one of our founding partners, previously served as the BBC’s subject matter expert for mental health. Her role was extensive, covering strategy development for a global organization, support for highly exposed journalists, and psychological assessment and risk management to ensure the duty of care for contributors.

Julie has a wealth of experience in developing mental health and well-being strategies, advising on duty of care, providing second-line support to productions, and offering crisis management. She is also highly skilled in psychological assessment.

During her time at the BBC, Julie partnered with ITV to create pioneering training for psychologists working in media. She also developed innovative approaches to addressing vicarious trauma, managing critical incidents, and mitigating moral injury, as well as designing psychosocial risk assessments specifically tailored for the media industry.
