Max Chamberlain CPsychol

Max Chamberlain

Max Chamberlain is a Chartered and HCPC-registered Occupational Psychologist, a Neuropsychologist and trainee Counselling Psychologist. He has worked in the field of diversity, equality and inclusion for over 20 years. He operates from a social model and believes that the design of environments, policies and procedures, as well as societal and organisational cultures, are at the core of the challenges faced by minoritised groups. Addressing these needs is of benefit to all. He considers it an honour to continue working towards celebrating diversity, addressing inequity and promoting inclusion.

Max has particular interest in and experience with the challenges encountered by neurodivergent people and those who are LGBTQ+. He believes that his lived experience of belonging to these groups significantly enhances his expertise in this field.

Max has worked with employees and employers on equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) issues, supporting organisations in both the public and private sectors. These include the BBC, the Royal Opera House, the Metropolitan Police and Honda. He is active in his field and currently serves on the EDI Board of the British Psychological Society and was a  committee member of the inaugural News UK Disability in Journalism Forum.
